Saturdays at E.A.T. South
Mark your calendar for Farm Saturdays at E.A.T. South. In 2019, we’re excited to host activities to get people of all ages outside and growing.
Volunteer Saturdays aka First Saturday Community Projects are a chance to get outside and get dirty while helping E.A.T. South grow. The projects are always on the first Saturday of the month from 8-10 am. Volunteer Saturdays are a great way to learn hands-on skills you can use in your own garden. Families are welcome.
Farmily Days are a chance for kids and their grown-ups to enjoy crafts, food, and farm-fun together on a Saturday. Farmily Days start at 9 am and include yoga, seasonal crafts, and games. Farmily Days are on first Saturdays (but not every first Saturday). Bring the kids at 8 for a shorter Volunteer Saturday project and stay for the games or just come for Farmily Days.
Farm in the City is our workshop series to get your garden growing. Organized for adults and garden-enthusiastic youth, the workshops include hands-on activities and lots of gardening information. Learn how to raise your own backyard chickens, grow food without harmful chemicals, and more.
Seedy Saturday is the River Region’s community seed swap. Have extra seeds? Bring them. Need seeds? Take some. Drop in from 9-12 and enjoy snacks, activities for kids, a garden and cookbook swap, and seeds, seeds, seeds.
See you soon on a Saturday!
